Born and raised in the Village of St. Nazianz, Wisconsin, Eric "Meat" Mueller began his career in the restaurant industry at the age of 14, working at Butch and Nanner's Opera Haus. While his primary responsibility consisted of stocking coolers, it was here that he learned the craft of the food service industry under the direction of a local icon in the restaurant business, Butch Liesch
Shortly after his 18th birthday, Meat became a regular bartender at Butch and Nanner’s Opera Haus. With his witty comments and ability to appeal to a clientele base that spanned multiple generations, it wasn’t long before he became a customer favorite. After graduating with a degree in business management from UW-Oshkosh, Meat decided to step away from the restaurant business, but he always felt his heart being pulled back to the industry and the people he enjoyed serving best. On November 15, 2015 Meat bought Butch and Nanner’s Opera House and it officially became Meat’s Opera Haus.
